KINSMEN CLUB OF
THE PAS
Each year around the middle of May a DLS seminar is held to help train the new incoming Deputy Governors. The training is all based on team building, how to communicate effectively with each other and with the different clubs in your area. This year the seminar was held in Winnipeg at the Winnipeg Kinsmen and Kinette club room. Our instructor for the weekend was Colleen Moman, Colleen brought along many years of experience in this area. Colleen is an excellent speaker, she won the public speaking at our District level and went on to win at the National Convention in Newfoundland. The weekend all starts with a brief meeting on Friday Night in the motel where we all received our binders for the weekend. Saturday morning it was off to the Winnipeg Kin Center. Meetings lasted all day with a lot or interaction from everyone. The friendships that bonded from this weekend will stay with us all for a life time. Saturday night saw us all attending supper at Celebrations Dinner Theater, the meal and entertainment was excellent. Everyone was enjoying the company of their neighbors'. After supper we all returned back to the motel for another short meeting. Sunday morning saw us all heading back to the Kin Center to finish off. My personal experience at this meeting was one of great fulfillment, if anyone is interested in becoming a Deputy Governor I would suggest you contact any member of the District Executive.
